What could possibly make a thriving neighborhood library—with a rich variety of programs, services, and collections—even better? Well, having the best customer service in the county could certainly have an impact. “This distinction means the world to us!” said Seng Lovan, Senior Community Library Manager of the Danville Library. “We strongly believe in a public library’s role in a vibrant community. Our customer service is rooted in the belief that we want our community, patrons, and library to succeed.” Recently, based on direct feedback from their Teen Advisory Board and the Danville Youth Council, the Danville Library unveiled its new Teen Zone—an area exclusively for teens to study, gather, collaborate, and work together. Open seven days a week, 60 hours a week, they also have a wealth of resources available online 24 hours a day, including downloadable audio and e-books, Discover & Go museum passes, digitized magazines and much more.
