Farmyard Darlings
Now in their 8th year of business in Contra Costa County, Farmyard Darlings founders Kim Berry and Carole Sinclair are honored to be a part of the Local’s Choice Awards. Both Lafayette residents, they’ve been making country chic for their local community via their shop offering custom furniture made from reclaimed wood, such as barn doors, tables, bars, and benches. With a customer base ranging from Santa Cruz to Sacramento, they’ll be adding 20 products this year that recall the nostalgic days of simpler times. Their one-of-a-kind objects are sleuthed out from their many picking journeys, and they’ll also have their own private-label products curated by Farmyard Darlings. This small team of two looks at this venture as more of a lifestyle than a business. Their plan was pretty simple: “Surround yourself with things that you love.” Come on by and say hello.
