Vallejo Symphony is one of the oldest symphonies in California with a rich history in Vallejo which dates back to 1931. The symphony has been under the direction of Maestro David Ramadanoff since 1983 and he has helped it grow from a community ensemble to an urban Orchestra of regional importance. In the 2013-2014 season the Vallejo Symphony continues to grow and delight audiences. Not only have we mounted five productions (the most since 2010) our Vallejo Symphony Trio has performed for 9,000 Vallejo and Benicia school children and our VSO Presents series has given everyone the chance to hear two outstanding musicians in recital, Carrie Hennessy and Franklyn D’Antonio.

The 82nd season Grande Finale will be May 10, 2014 when the Vallejo Symphony, Solano Choral Society, Vallejo Choral Society, and Samantics join forces in Hogan Auditorium to perform a masterwork, Brahms’ German Requiem. Soprano Lauren Woody and Baritone Paul Cheak will be featured in front of 150 performers on stage, all under the direction of Maestro David Ramadanoff.
