Most people like to help others, some people actively try to help others and a few special people just do it as part of their normal routine. Jeff Steen, the owner and creator of Pacific Blues Cafe in Yountville is one of those few special people. His appreciation for the community support of Pacific Blues Cafe shows in the generosity of his involvement within Yountville. He has been an integral part of the community since 1989, when he began his restaurant career in Yountville. His involvement has not waned in the slightest over the years. He is passionate about the Yountville Veterans Home and most recently has become involved with its Pathway Home Organization, which helps Veterans deal with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In Jeff’s words, “I am just trying to help out where I can, be at a fundraiser, a meal, or just a kind word to show my appreciation for all that the Veterans have done for this country.” Jeff also supports the local schools, Little League, The Art Council of Yountville, and just about anything else that might need a helping hand. Just a humble guy doing what he can for the place he calls home.
