Mount Diablo Solano Oncology Group

Since 2004, MDSO has helped remind the community as a whole that we are not alone in our fight against cancer. You aren’t just another patient here. Their healthcare team strives to recognize the unique needs of each individual, and deliver care based on that individuality, not just the disease.

They support all patients and accept most insurance plans, including state Medicaid programs. They employ financial counselors to assist patients with obtaining financial assistance, help with co-pays, and other similar programs to aid those patients with financial needs. Although they’ve been voted Best Health Care in Solano County, they also have a location in Concord.

They are also the only all-female private practice oncology group in the Bay Area, they treat all types of adult cancers, and they’re here to help. If you or someone you love is in need of a cancer specialist, see their contact information below.

Contra Costa Small Business Development Center

Small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy, and we were elated to hear that the best business services for Contra Costa County went to the Contra Costa Small Business Development Center (SBDC). “We’re here to serve the small businesses of the county and are very grateful to be a part of the community,” said Oscar Dominguez, Director for the Contra Costa SBDC. Offering high-quality yet low-cost services, they’ve found that interpersonal skills, or “people skills,” are some of the most needed skills for people to have in the workforce, especially because most schools tend to focus on the more technical aspects of employment. From effective communication and networking to thinking critically and working in teams, the Center can provide you with the skills that you, or your employees, need the most. To help achieve your small business goals, contact the Contra Costa SBDC today.

Calistoga Harvest Table

Calistoga Harvest Table is a Calistoga Chamber of Commerce event held in celebration of a bountiful harvest season. The fifth annual event will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018. On average, 13 restaurants and 49 wineries welcome guests to 1,000-feet of tables stretched along the center of the city’s picturesque downtown street. Calistoga area wines are available at one of eight wine bars to purchase by the glass or bottle. Attendees at the table enjoy a wide variety of epicurean specialties that run the gamut from tantalizing Italian and innovative American fusion to scrumptious seafood and much more. Participating restaurants provide pairing suggestions to help attendees choose wine varietals that best complement the flavors of each menu.

Many winemakers—primarily from small-production Calistoga AVA wineries—are in attendance, adding to the ultimate wine country experience.

Arrive early to explore and shop in this charismatic town. Guests are highly encouraged to plan overnight reservations ahead of time in order to fully experience this intimate getaway destination.
