But no one said anything about Monday morning. Ben and I have too much to do and no time to feel like anything is getting accomplished.
The weekend was packed with excitement, the “Taste of Yountville” on Saturday and St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday at The Rellik Tavern in Benicia. The pictures from Sunday have to be kept quiet because what happens at The Rellik, stays at The Rellik! Bob Hurley of Hurley’s in Yountville was out in front all day at the Festival serving his famous Corned Beef sliders. Ben and I took the time to say hi to everyone at The French Laundry Gardens.
Stretches, feed and a long walk with Ben and off we go. . .

Spring is not yet upon us but I already feel that summer is here. The weather we have been experiencing here in the Bay Area is unreal, for the past two nights I have been sitting outside drinking wine and eating tapas and feeling quite like I am on holiday and I just returned home from vacation. Ben has quite become the favorite dog of the outside patios – chefs, waiters and restaurant patrons are always stopping by to visit with him.
Today is another full day that already feels like I want to go back to bed and rest for just a short while. A “power nap” might be just the ticket. Here comes the weekend, The Taste of Yountville and St. Patrick’s Day, who could ask for more!

Many people believe that the full moon holds all the mystery and power but I have to disagree; as much as I love the full moon I equally love the crescent moon. The crescent moon holds a certain mystique and charm. Tonight as I was staring at the moon I couldn’t help but think that the crescent moon might be a little bit more beautiful than his brother full moon. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind.
Today I have a very full day that has Ben and I running all day, try to catch up and see if you can guess where we will be next!
Ben and Jay Lifson from the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce are old friends and always love helping each other out!

Yesterday Ben made so many new friends. Wherever he went in Carmel people were literally hugging Ben. Carmel is dog-friendly anyway but I think Ben went a little overboard! We never stopped and Local Happenings Magazine was VERY well received with new readers.
Another fun day starts with Ben and I ending in another county for tonight’s festivities.

The feeling of Friday is always so full of relief. Today I woke up with that thought and it never left. An early morning walk in the hills of Carmel Valley, a breakfast in a historical hacienda, a wine walk in downtown Carmel (did I mention the weather was absolutely gorgeous!) and a nice intimate dinner right off of Ocean Avenue in Carmel. I forgot the long meandering walk on the beach with Ben making MANY new friends. I will never get to sleep tonight – thinking of all that rest and nothing to do tomorrow!
Ben happened to make friends with all the inns and shops in downtown Carmel. He found this interesting chair in a little wine shop and made himself right at home since he sees mom where a similar look almost every day.
Good thing I’m on vacation, a few stretches and a long walk on the beach and off we go. . .
We almost fell, but we did it. With Ben and me running since Tuesday we have not had a chance to just relax and breathe. Say no more. After family and friend commitments the last three days, we are finally breathing a sigh of relief. Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley is just the spot to sit in lotus position to view beautiful vistas and breathe country air.
Horses, cows, geese and even frogs are glad that we came as the noises of the season take over and I feel very much at home. Ben made so many friends already and I am sure we will meet a few more.

Starting this afternoon, Ben and I are on Holiday. But not so fast; I have two meeting before noon, try to catch up for an hour and then another meeting which goes right into two more so I will be going strong for quite a while today!
I think that I will have to putter in the garden at 5 pm to give me some balance and then a very special guest is coming to town so we will be celebrating tonight.
Ben congratulated Ken Casper of Edward Jones in Benicia for winning the Local’s Choice Award.

Yesterday started slow – but what a bang in the end. The Wednesday Night “Ramble” at the Empress Theatre in Downtown Vallejo just keeps getting better and better. Each time I think this one was the best, another Ramble comes and the performances are off the chart. I guess that’s what we call “Living in the present”.
Ben and I have some important appointments today ending with a Vacaville Chamber Mixer and a hot tub for my weary body. Burning the candle at both ends is catching up with me and could use some R&R. Oh, wait I’m taking a little holiday Monday thru Wednesday, so I better stop whining!
