A day forever in our hearts . . .

This is a special day for everyone to take a moment and reflect. Life is so short and then it is gone and we never get a chance for a redo. Take a moment and say what is in your heart or it will be forever gone.

Ben is moving today – be quick to catch him!

SF Giants note: We can’t win them all – and besides this journey is exciting.

BIG, LONG stretches, feed Ben, walk, and then I’m gone . . .

Ho hum, ho hum, it’s off to work we go . . .

It's been Buster all year!

Well after a very nice and BUSY weekend Ben and I will hit the streets with a fevered pitch today! We have stories to finish – people to see and many things to get accomplished.

SF Giants note: WE BEAT LA! Two out of three is fine with me – 5.5 out in front. We just have to stay steady and strong and we can do this! The Niners also won on the road yesterday – all is good with the world.

BIG, LONG stretches, feed Ben, walk, and then I’m gone . . .

To the castle we go . . .

So, today Ben and I will be visiting “The Castle” otherwise known as Castello di Amoroso in Calistoga. We have an appointment in the “Reserve” room. Pat will be our host and pour for Local Happenings Magazine and we will decide just what our favorite wine is. Stay tuned.

Ben is recovering and is back to being my friend. I guess he has figured out that I feed him!

SF Giants note: BEAT LA! We have a GIANTS party planned and a BBQ is on the agenda so it will be fun.

BIG, LONG stretches, feed Ben, walk, water the yard and then I’m gone . . .

This week is going way too fast . . .

Ben was not very happy with me for making him wear his cone!

I would love to have a STOP sign in my bedroom. That way I could wake up and go right back to sleep. I have a lot to do – but my week seems to be unraveling with troubleshooting small things.

I didn’t feel great yesterday and obviously neither did Ben. He is back in his cone since he had another little mishap – this time on his left side. It was less than a month ago that he was in a cone for his right side. He is VERY mad at me, but a moms got a do what she has to do! Stay alert we will be everywhere today.

SF Giants note: Still 4.5 out in front, not very pretty game but we now have to get some rest so we can beat LA!

BIG, LONG stretches and major walk, feed Ben, water the yard and then I’m gone . . .

Something always gets in the way . . .

Local Happenings Magazine (and Ben!) had a chance to visit with the Directors of all the Convention and Visitors Bureaus of Solano County

So I was up early and was all ready to get out there and see everyone yesterday and guess what – refrigerator went on the fritz and had to wait for appliance repair man all morning. Didn’t stop there though, he then had to get a part and had to come back so I ended up being at the house all day! Good news though – just a fan need to be replaced and he ended up fixing the arm on the door that was loose and also looked at my dryer and is replacing a blower so it will be quiet again. It was all good and I am a happy camper.

OK, so today I am up early and out the door so I can repeat what I thought I was doing yesterday! (The only thing is I am not feeling well today – go figure!)

SF Giants note: Still 4.5 out in front, what a game last night! If only the Giants had won, but the Dodgers lost too so all is not lost.

BIG, LONG stretches and major walk, feed Ben, water the yard and then I’m gone . . .

Back to work . . .

Another beautiful picture of the flowers of the Gardens at the French Laundry in Yountville

I am up early and ready to go – it was nice but I now have to pay the piper and get to work! Lots to do and many people to see so nothing more to say except let’s go!

SF Giants note: Still 4.5 out in front, WHAT A WEEEKEND FOR GIANTS BASEBALL!

BIG, LONG stretches, feed Ben, water the yard and then I’m gone . . .

Once in a blue moon . . .

So the saying is true – it doesn’t happen often but it does happen. Tonight is the second full moon in one month and star gazers such as me will get a chance to see it. Blue moons exist due to our calendar months being imperfectly synched to the lunar months. It takes 29.5 days for the moon to orbit Earth, during which sky watchers observe all of its phases. All calendar months, aside from February, have 30 or 31 days, resulting in the occasional two full moons within a single month. The blue moon is rare but it is scheduled to take place about once every three years with the next such moon scheduled to take place July of 2015.

Today is the start of a long weekend that is jam packed with activities, be sure to drive safe and drink responsibly!

SF Giants note: Can it be? The biggest lead in the NL West so far this year, the Giants are doing what they need to win right now. 4.5 out, WOW!

BIG, BIG stretches, feed Ben, and then I’m gone . . .

I’m still on moon watch . . .

The best spread for Bocce I have ever seen!

Remember to watch out for the blue moon tomorrow, tonight will be great too, but Friday will be the crème de la crème.

Yesterday was so full! I love a day that is accomplished but not overwhelming. Had a great one.

Today I am heading out early and playing in an invitational golf tournament. I am not sure what I will play like – but I do know this, I will have a great time!

Thanks everyone for banding together for Ben – I TRULY appreciate it!

If you saw the photo in yesterdays blog, something is amiss! I am so excited for my Brother Robert and his wife Regina who have bought a new house and are building it from scratch!! It will be everything they want for their family and I am very happy that I can bring it to you up close and personal. I will update some pictures hopefully in the next few days.

SF Giants note: What a team! I am loving it!

BIG, BIG stretches, feed Ben, and then I’m gone . . .
