The magic continues . . .

Ben helped greet people at the Benicia Chamber Mixer

It is very hard at this time of year to be concentrating on work since we have baseball, football and Indian summer. We are having so much fun since we are outdoors and listening to the games while we are trying to work. I wonder if everyone has this quandary or is it just me.

Lots to do before the weekend, can I get it all done? Not sure, but Ben and I will try. Then this weekend we have fundraisers, golf, and lots of baseball and football. Sounds pretty good to me.

SF Giants note: Can the magic number really be 3? Seems impossible, but that’s what they tell me. Hoping the magic continues.

LONG DEEP stretches, feed and walk Ben, water the yard, and then I’m gone . . .

I love this!

Do a little dance . . .

Ken Leach performing with the Wasted Rangers at the Wednesday Night Ramble

Yesterday was a little two step for Ben and I since we needed to be in two different places all day long. We made it, but we fell quickly to sleep and did not want to wake up this morning! Yountville all day with meetings, get togethers, bocce, dinner and then back to the Empress for a little Ramble. Thanks Don and Rhonda for putting together such a great evening of music and fun.

Today appears to be more of the same – plus we have a day game. What to do, what to do?

SF Giants note: We’re having a good time watching this unfold, it just appears to be going a little too fast. Can we start September over?

BIG, BIG, LONG stretches, feed and walk Ben, water the yard, and then I’m gone . . .

The countdown continues!

And she had fun, fun , fun . . .

Ben checked out the fall styles at Miguelena in Benicia

Yesterday Ben and I visited quite a few people and we had so much fun. We started off early and we ended late and we are VERY tired but we feel quite accomplished. Today we are off early again and we have a lot of appointments everywhere so be on the look for us – you never know where we’ll show up.

SF Giants note: I am feeling like this is too easy – we played the hard teams in the first part of the season and we need to make sure that we are ready for post season. We have to keep playing hard to keep our minds sharp.

BIG, BIG, LONG stretches, feed Ben, walk, water the yard since I forgot yesterday and then I’m gone . . .

Gotta love Timmy!

I love life’s lessons . . .

Today my niece reminded me of something I say all the time: “Life isn’t measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.” Love it, guess we’re teaching her right!

Ben and I have a visitor for a while – boy he is not very happy. It will be good for him and he might learn “Sharing”! I am sure that everyone will give him extra love for a while. Today Sandy and everyone else at TEAM SUPERSTORES made him feel extra special.

Today is also National Cheeseburger Day. Really? I guess there is a day for everything.

SF Giants note: September Baseball is great! 8 out in front and our magic number is 8! I LOVE MY GIANTS!

BIG, BIG stretches, feed Ben, walk, water the yard since I forgot yesterday and then I’m gone . . .

Life is short. Live your dream and wear your passion . . .

Friends gather for good times!

This is my life’s mantra and someone close sent this to me telling me that it reminded them of me. Thanks!

Today is the start of a very busy week, and it also marks the start of a VERY busy end of month. I am very rested after this weekend, it felt good to be busy but in a very peaceful environment. Now Ben and I have to get going.

SF Giants note: Still 7.5 out in front! Our new favorite number is 9! 49ers note: Niners are making it look too easy, let’s not get too cocky.

I love my life . . .

Ben in the garden while I'm puttering!

Sometimes I wish I could be retired and just putter in the garden all day and then I have a day like I had yesterday and I am glad that I have a different life. I love meeting new people and hearing about new and different things – but I also love coming home and relaxing with a glass of wine and being with close friends. (And let’s be honest, I DO LOVE to putter in the garden!)

Friday at last, but a wedding, festivals, BBQs, and sleeping in will keep me busy – Ben and I are looking forward to all of it.

SF Giants note: We have to beat the Diamondbacks! Ready for some baseball!

No rest for us . . .

Ben took time out to visit with the Napa Valley Film Festival Crew at Bardessono Hotel in Yountville

So I was busy smelling the roses and the day just flew by! I need to figure out how to add a couple more hours to each day. What most people don’t realize is that I like a quiet life, relaxing at home and kicking my shoes off. I dream of this.

I was looking forward to an evening at home last night – wrong! I forgot about Yountville Bocce, and then the Napa Valley Film Festivals’ event at Bardessono Hotel. Where is that comfy couch? Not in the cards since I am back in Yountville playing in their Golf Tournament. Good thing I love these guys!

SF Giants note: I love you guys! 7 out in front – unbelievable! Love my Timmy.

Being present in the moment . . .

Ben was busy making new friends yesterday!

It’s always nice when you can have a really great day and appreciate it in the moment. I cherish these times.  I am definitely smelling the roses.

We’re on the run today – another deadline is looming and lots to do. I believe I will be in a few counties today as I was yesterday. Looking forward to a quiet evening at home! I must say this is one of my favorite times of the year, great weather, post-season for baseball, comfy couch, friends and BBQs.

SF Giants note: Can I say we are 6 games in the lead! Thank you Kirk Gibson.
