Have you taken care of getting your taxes done? Today is the day. I will say no more.
Yesterday I worked on many things and was able to get a lot done but somehow I did not feel productive. Why is that?? I still have many things on my “to do” list but will wade through it and I feel confident that everything will get done.

Ben and his best friend, Shogun!
Ben had a very unproductive day but today he is looking forward to visiting his good friend Shogun. I will be busy all day but Ben will not be forgotten, he won’t even know I was missing. Have a great one boys!
Running all day; must do stretches, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .

Matt Larson, in the bright lights of his comedy show. (Ben wasn't allowed in!)
Is the month really almost half over? I can’t believe it, it was just January and now we are almost through April. Time is running wildly away from us and I guess I will jump on board for a ride.
This weekend never really stopped, from Friday, no, I take that back, from Thursday evening until today I have never really stopped and just took a deep breath. Sounds like I will need some deep meditation later on. Dinners, mixers, baptisms, comedy night, golf, and yeah let’s throw a little real life in there and you get a roller coaster out of control. I think I will be putting on my calendar some time for just me.
Monday; meetings, computer work, more magazine distribution, must do stretches, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .
Yes, it is a scary day for most people. I, on the other hand see a Friday the 13th as a good thing. It’s a lucky day as far as I am concerned; and it is starting out just fine. As I get ready to sit down to write this blog I finish a very long stretch that has been a long time coming. Almost like a sneeze that you keep waiting for and you feel almost exhausted when it finally comes. I was able to get a very long and deep stretch and now my body feels like getting on with the day. Mental meets physical, all is good. (Maybe it has something to do with that very good glass of red wine I had last night! Thanks Reg for opening that last bottle.)
There is nothing quite like the Napa Valley after it has been raining. We are truly lucky to be living here in the Bay Area and able to be in San Francisco one day and Yountville the next. I am very lucky since my job requires me to be in Danville one day, Benicia the next and so on and so on. Now if I could just figure out how to make more money and be in all of these places so I could be playing more golf when I am there!
Yesterday Ben and I were visiting VMarketplace, we said hello to all of our old friends and made a few new ones. Ben even had a chance to act as concierge and to pick out some wine for a few people. Amazing how strangers respond to Ben and how he can get them to do just about anything.
It’s raining so no golf; pick up the house, Lions meeting first thing out the door, more magazine distribution and then hopefully the Giants won’t get rained out! Stretches done, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .

Ben picking out mushrooms at Farwest Funghi in the San Francisco Ferry Building.
Yesterday is over, my day of rejuvenation is gone, and here I am fresh and ready to go! I had a great time running all over San Francisco yesterday, it was better than being a tourist since I knew where to park. We ran all over the San Francisco Ferry Building, Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf and ended up at the end of the day by the AT&T Ballpark so we could watch the game at a local eating establishment. (It was not the Giants best outing!) What a fun time. Ben is still asleep at my feet.
Computer work, magazine distribution, Danville Mixer, Benicia tourism meeting, oops have to run! So on that note, no stretches, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .

Ben watching the Sea Lions at Pier 39, a first!
Every once in a while you have to take an extra day and reenergize. Today is such a day. I have been working the past few weekends and haven’t had a chance to have a day to myself, so away I go. I don’t even care what I do; it just has to be away from work, home and responsibilities.
So on that note, stretches, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .

Clay Oven - where I ate Indian food and actually like it!
Yesterday there were a couple of firsts. Barry Zito pitched a complete game in 9 years! Ben was OK sleeping all afternoon. I actually ate and liked Indian food! Yes, you heard it here first, Deanna Baillie, miss persnickety when it comes to food ate and liked Indian food. I loved the Korma sauce, the masala sauce and even the curry sauce! The Naan with goat cheese was my absolute favorite! OK, so I probably would not like everything, but does anyone ever like everything in every culture? I think not. Romy, owner of Clay Oven in Vacaville, graciously hosted us and helped me find out what I actually did like in Indian food. Thanks Romy!
Now that we have all been amazed, what else can there possibly be? I guess I will keep looking for more amazing feats out there.
Here’s another one: I was wearing short for the past two days and now it’s raining. Really? Oh well, back to my hat or ponytail. Lots to do to make sure that the magazine is out there at all the distribution points.
Stretches, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .

Family visiting at Easter BBQ
Even though Easter is a religious holiday, almost everyone can appreciate family, Easter baskets full of candy, laughter and a nice meal. The entire weekend was full of family and food, from Friday until Sunday.
The Giants opening day was not what I had expected, but I
still have full faith in my Giants. They are getting ready to have a great year, I don’t care that they are 0-3 right now. Go Giants!
Tiger didn’t get the outcome he had expected, but Bubba Watson was a great winner and how happy was he. It’s nice when someone you totally do not expect wins a championship like this – it reminds all the underdogs that they too have a shot.

Peppino Messina take a moment to give advice to Ramon
The little guys I always have time for is the little leaguers. Saturday morning I went to my nephews opening day and pancake breakfast, what a hoot! All these little kids with hats two times the size of their heads running around having a great time. The police department was out shaking hands and giving advice to the youngsters. This was so heartwarming to see, how these little children looked at the policemen with total adoration. (Good job Peppino!)
Its Monday so no time for playing around, have a couple of
jobs to get out and have to finish getting the magazines out. The magazine
looks great and of course I already noticed an error. I hate that – even though
it’s proofed 4 times and then looked at again I always find something that I
should have changed. Oh well, the life of publishing.
No time for stretches, feed Ben, latte, and go. . .

Rory is wanting to be one of the little leaguers!
