My day started slow yesterday and ended with a bang! I love days like that where you feel a little discombobulated and then, as you fall asleep, it is with deep contentment. I am working hard on the next Local Happenings Magazine and right on time, so it feels great.

Not a huge Crawford fan, but I guess I have to become one if he keeps playing like last night!
Gotta love those Giants! I guess it would be different if they lost, but I love this time of year, Giants go with everything!
More writing and layout out today – but first a BIG walk for Ben since yesterday he did not get one. Be on the lookout, he might show up at your place of business!
Stretches, feed Ben, latte, water the yard and I’m gone . . .

Ben was looking for me yesterday while I was on the golf course - he waited patiently!
WOW! Was it hot yesterday in Danville, I thought I was tanned – think again, now I am tanned! A great day for the chamber, they raised a lot of money and we had fun doing it.
I guess I have to think about work a little today, I promised. Meetings, phone calls and so much more, but the end of the day ends with Giants baseball, triple cream brie, rustic French bread and wine so life is not bad.
Stretches, feed Ben, latte, water the yard and I’m gone . . .

Life seen from the back of a horse - unbelievable!
Wine tasting, eating oysters, cutting with fresh cows, trail riding, Giants baseball, gardening and visiting with good friends and family – can’t get much better! I guess I should have thought about work a little, especially since we rolled out our first “Local Happenings Magazine Live” video, but oh well!
I guess I will concentrate on work a little today, oops sorry; I have to golf today in the Danville Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament at one of the prettiest golf courses around, Diablo Country Club. Someone has to do it I guess. OK, I promise to think about work tomorrow!
Did I mention I now have a personalized signed baseball from Nate Shierholtz? Thanks!

The crowd at the Napa Chamber gathered for the live auction
So much to do and so little time but I did find time to get to Eagle Vines Golf Course for the Napa Chamber Mixer. What a nice turnout they had. There were so many silent auction items going for well under their worth and live auction items as well. I am sure they raised some cash!
Afterwards out to Redd’s Restaurant in Yountville since I was going to see up close and personal the chef working. WOW! How can I top that? Ben was very impressed and told him so later.
BIG Stretches, feed Ben, latte, water the yard and I’m gone . . .

Chef was slammed!
After last nights “Ramble” Vallejo should be on the map in the Bay Area for a “must” in the musical world. What a night, and what performances, everyone outdid themselves. To think I almost didn’t go since I was in Yountville having fun – but so glad I decided to head to the Empress! Oh, what a night!
Bocce in Yountville – what fun! Appetizers, wine and good friends, what could be better! The Napa Chamber Golf Tournament is on target today so I am sure I will be having fun later.
I was only able to enjoy Yountville Bocce since SF Giants game was in rain delay. Then during the “Ramble” I was having a hard time since not only were they playing they were going into extra innings. But alas, the Giants prevailed and I was still able to enjoy the “Ramble”. Three games ahead of the LA Dodgers, life is good!
BIG, BIG Stretches, feed Ben, latte, water the yard, watch the Giants, and I’m gone . . .

Ben loves Yountville Bocce!

Doing the "Shut Out" dance!
Barry Zito is making us all fall in love with him, and I am falling for it. In reality it is our offense working at the same time, but the fact that Zito was able to keep the Braves from scoring is saying something. Is his contract coming up for renewal?? We all had such a good time watching the game, we definitely made memories.
On to other things, I was able to see up close and personal how much our money from the Vallejo Executive Lions is being used. The VCAF Summer Arts program is something I am very proud of and I am so happy to see the kids’ smiles.
I also will be catching up with the Yountville crowd tonight since it is Bocce night and then “Dive Bar” at the Bardessono – it looks like a beautiful night in the Valley as well.

Let’s start the day off right, good morning, good morning to you! We are off and running with so much to accomplish today. How can I start the day off so chipper, look at the sunset I was able to view last night and it should tell the story. We are so lucky to have this in our backyard, WOW!
New printer was set up, thanks Clint! Lunch with Dennis; thanks Dennis and Tourist meeting in Benicia. Did we solve anything? Probably not, but lots of good conversation. Ben saw so much yesterday, but we have bigger plans for today . . .

John Dunbar thanks Steve Rogers for taking his place in the dunk tank!
Yountville did it again; it seems that all of their events seem to bring out such great community camaraderie. Saturday was Bastille Day and Bouchon hosted a community fair. This was complete with French food booths and drinks as well as the ever popular dunk tank. The dunk tank hosted quite a few local celebrities like Thomas Keller (of French Laundry Fame), Redd’s General Manager, Tucker, the Gardner for the French Laundry Farm and the Town Manager, Steve Rogers.
Getting an early start and hope to get a lot accomplished! Ben will be visiting so keep an eye out . . .
